I have a next door neighbor who says location scouts checked
her house out while they were shooting The Silence of The Lambs and recreated
the style of her basement for the Hannibal jail cell and the psycho pit. I have two relatively fair pics that may
prove the point. They did film the majority of the movie in Pittsburgh and the
surrounding area.

Whether the basement was adapted to film or not, it’s still
a creepy basement which is always fun!
