More BEA and celebs that I don't know!

The last thing I will ever be accused of is being hip. So there was little surprise that when actress Jane Lynch from the hit TV show Glee walked by the booth that I was hanging out at Book Expo America, I had to embarrassingly ask someone, “Who is that person?”  I know, shame on me but, to my defense, I have not had access-nor do I want access-to cable TV for 7 years.  No, I’m not a snob who hangs out in coffee shops, makes lofty statements and reads Crime and Punishment (even though that just happens to be on my nightstand at the moment.)  I just prefer to avoid TV as much as possible.  I know that I will get sucked in to viewing how depraved and sick our society is and frankly, I’d rather write about it than watch it on the boob-tube.
My sincere apologies to all you Jane Lynch fans out there.  There were other celebs at BEA such as Michael Moore in is best worn out baseball hat, 5 year old T-shirt and hooded sweatshirt and baggy shorts.  I’m sure that man has a closet full of Izod and Ralph Lauren at home but for his fans, he had to dress the part of struggling liberal movie guy. Jane Fonda was there too and drew the largest crowd on the last day of the convention.
There were other celebs that I missed such as Ice-T but I was slow on the uptake on figuring out who was appearing where.  It was a huge and wonderful event!
Stay tuned to my blog as I will have more updates of the goings on at BEA in NYC!
